Richard J. Voelker has been invited to speak at the Seventh Annual Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Education Conference in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, which will be held February 2 and 3, 2017. This two-day conference is hosted by the Louisiana Workforce Commission and sponsored by the International Workers’ Compensation Foundation. It is the premier Workers’ Compensation conference in Louisiana, and will be attended by practitioners, judges, and regulatory agencies from a number of states.

Richard will present on Friday, February 3 on the topic of “What You Need to Know about Contacting Injured Workers after a Disaster”. This timely presentation will revisit and clarify workers compensation payors’ continuing obligations to remain in contact with payees in the wake of natural disasters and other unforeseen civil disruptions.
