Francis Accardo recently successfully defended the Fifth Louisiana Levee District at the trial of 5 bellwether claims from among 141 plaintiffs who alleged economic losses and inconvenience caused by contamination of the water supply. Their mental and emotional anguish claims had been dismissed on the Levee District’s Motion for Summary Judgment prior to trial. The case is now on appeal to the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal.
