PUGH ACCARDO Successful in Construction Defect Arbitration on behalf of Subcontractor

Larry Pugh and Donna Young successfully defended a subcontractor in an arbitration matter involving alleged construction defects that led to the closure of a downtown New Orleans hotel. The subcontractor, performing tiling and flooring throughout the hotel, was alleged to have intentionally and/or negligently damaged shower pan flanges. The defective pans allowed for moisture to escape the shower enclosure causing significant damage throughout the hotel. Following a two (2) week hearing, a three judge arbitration panel found that there was insufficient evidence against the subcontractor and all claims were dismissed.
